My Root to Happiness

me.JPG

Worcester became my home officially three years ago, but my heart has been here since 2010 when I attended college. My husband and I bought a home in September of 2019 and we created our garden that following Spring. I simply could not miss a growing season! Growing vegetables & herbs has been my hobby for over ten years. But for the past few, flowers have slowly taken over.

And that's just it- this has been my hobby. Gardening has been in my life for a long time. It's something I'm excited to do year after year, no matter where I live. From taking over my parent's yard, to having so many plants on my apartment balcony that its inhabitable- I've always found a way!

Over the years I have learned that nothing is quite as fulfilling to me as gardening. Those homegrown tomatoes in a homemade salsa or that vase full of fresh cut flowers on the kitchen table, embodies months of hard work. And to me, this is the most enjoyable hard work.

I've found my ROOT to happiness and I can't wait to share it with you all.

So why flowers? There is an incredible amount of good put back into the world with flowers. They help us slow down, take a breath, and enjoy the simple beauties that are all around us. To me they represent kind thoughts, uplifting feelings, and beautiful reminders. And the world needs more of that.
